Meet the Team

Graham French

Graham is a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE in Outdoor Activities, and has been teaching for over 10 years. He currently works as a university lecturer where he is director of outdoor activities and tutor to the outdoor activities PGCE course. He holds an ML award, SPA, MIAS level 5 and is a BCU Level 5 Coach. He is also a D of E accredited assessor for gold silver and bronze awards, FSRT provider and 4* assessor for paddlesport. He is also an HSE Approved First Aid at Work Trainer and Assessor

He has travelled, paddled and climbed all over Canada, South Africa and Europe and has been on many expeditions. He has published several articles on a range of outdoor activities - the most recent can be found in Horizons (journal of the Institute of Outdoor Learning) covering paddlesports and mountain biking.
